Maha: Poet Ramesh Redekar advocates for embracing, not imposition of Marathi language

Pune, Sep 27 (UNI) Noted Marathi poet Ramesh Redekar has raised his voice against imposition of Marathi language on non-native speakers and asked people to embrace the language with devotion, instead. Addressing the Sarfojiraje II Marathi Poets' Conference at Pethanan Kalaiyarangam Hall in Thanjavur of Tamil Nadu as its president, he said Marathi, being a rich mother tongue, and its regional dialects should be used in daily communication and education and suggested that people should embrace the language with devotion rather than being imposed upon them.
