Sharad Pawar to tour drought-hit Maha from Sept 28 as crop loss fuels political firestorm

Mumbai, Sep 21 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (SP) supremo and veteran leader Sharad Pawar will undertake a tour of drought-hit districts in Maharashtra from September 28 to assess crop losses and meet farmers affected by the agrarian crisis. The announcement comes in the wake of severe agrarian distress caused by deficient rainfall, which has left several regions grappling with ruined Kharif crops and critical shortages of drinking water and fodder.
