Kakinada:Women stage dharna opposing takeover of Vaaraahi temple

Kakinada, Sept 21 (UNI) A large number of women devotees from Kakinada city, rural and Pedapudi mandals staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Monday, opposing the Endowments Department's takeover of the management of Sri Kasi Vaaraahi Amma temple at Koripella village in Karapa mandal. The protesters raised slogans against Endowments Department officials, alleging that action was taken based on a complaint lodged by a person from another religion.
