Low pressure likely to trigger heavy rain in Odisha; collectors put on alert

Bhubaneswar, Sep 21 (UNI) The Odisha Government on Monday directed all district administrations and concerned departments to remain fully prepared and take preventive measures in view of the likelihood of heavy rainfall triggered by a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal. Reviewing the preparedness for the weather system, Chief Secretary Anu Garg said there was currently no possibility of a cyclone, but the low-pressure system was likely to bring heavy rainfall, particularly to southern Odisha.
