Woman duped of Rs 4 lakh, gold jewellery in 'hidden treasure' ruse in Ulhasnagar

Ulhasnagar, Sep 26 (UNI) A woman was allegedly duped of Rs 4 lakh in cash and gold jewellery by two self-styled godmen who promised to cure illnesses in her family and recover hidden treasure supposedly buried beneath a shrine at her home, police said. The incident came to light in Camp 5 area of Ulhasnagar. A case has been registered against five persons at Hill Line Police Station under relevant provisions of law, including the Maharashtra anti-superstition legislation.
