Bihar rivers swell, Kosi, Gandak and Bagmati cross danger marks

Patna, Sep 26 (UNI) Several rivers in Bihar remained above their respective danger marks today, with rising water levels recorded in the Kosi, Gandak and Bagmati rivers, while the Ganga showed a receding trend at most monitoring stations. According to data released by the Water Resources Department at 8 a.m., the Kosi was flowing 0.78 metre above the danger mark at Baltara in Khagaria district. The water level was recorded at 34.63 metres against the danger mark of 33.85 metres and was continuing to rise.
