IIT Bombay student's death sparks protests; Mid-Semester exams put on hold

Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) The death of a second-year B.Tech student at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has triggered concern and protests on the campus, with student activist Abhijit Deepke questioning the government's response to the growing distress among students. In a post on social media, Deepke alleged that students were taking extreme steps not only in remote tribal areas but also in major cities such as Mumbai.
