Five sentenced to three years in jail in Odisha mule bank account fraud case

Bhubaneswar, Sep 19 (UNI) The JMFC court at Khallikote in Odisha's Ganjam district has convicted five persons in a case involving the misuse of bank accounts as mule accounts for financial transactions and fraud and sentenced them to three years' imprisonment. The convicts have been identified as Sushant Sahu, Sudam Patra, Pabitra Sahu, Bimal Kumar Sahu and Pradeep Das. The court convicted them under Sections 318(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and awarded three years' imprisonment to each of them.
