Actress held for alleged sex racket in Thane

Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Thane Crime Branch has arrested an actress for allegedly running a prostitution racket and luring young women from the entertainment industry into commercial sex work, police said on Sunday. Two women were rescued during the operation and have been shifted to a shelter home for care and rehabilitation, officials said. Acting on a tip-off, a decoy customer was sent to contact the accused and confirm the alleged transaction.
