TMC supporters virtually laid siege around Nizam Palace protesting arrest of their leaders by CBI

Kolkata, May 17 (UNI) The Trinamool Congress supporters on Monday virtually laid a siege around CBI office -Nizam Palace- and the governor house complex in the city after the central investigation agency arrested chief minister Mamata Banerjee's two senior cabinet colleagues Firhad Hakim and Subrata Mukherjee in Narada sting operation case.
Ms Banerjee, who rushed to the Nizam Palace to protest the arrest, which according to her was unlawful and coercive, also demanded to arrest her if her ministers were not released immediately.
The CBI today arrested Mr Hakim, Mr Mukherjee, TMC MLA Madan Mitra former and city Mayor Sovan Chatterjee in the 2016 Narada sting operation, which was conducted by journo Mathew
