9.84 pc polling in Bihar till 9 am

Patna, April 26 (UNI) An estimated 9.84 per cent of 93,96,298 voters exercised their franchise in first two hours during second phase of Lok Sabha elections in five seats in Bihar.
Sources at the office of Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar said that 9.84 percent voters voted till 9 am highest of 12.01 per cent polling recorded in Katihar, followed by Banka (10.65), Purnea (9.36), Bhagalpur (8.92) and Kishanganj at 8.32 per cent.
Electorate are exercising their franchise amid tight security arrangements in all five constituencies and no untoward incident has been reported from any part of the constituencies where polling is in progress.
Congress candidate Ajit Sharma, his wife and actress-daughter Neha Sharmavoted from Bhagalpur seat. Women and first time voters appeared excited to cast their votes as they waited in long queues.
