India U17 women defeat Philippines in friendly match

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) The India U17 women's team defeated Philippines 2-0 in the second closed-door friendly match at the Vagator Football Ground in Anjuna, Goa. Anushka Kumari scored both goals for the Young Tigresses, first from the penalty spot in the 26th minute, and then in the 50th on Tuesday night. Philippines won the first friendly 4-2 last Saturday. This was the Young Tigresses' fourth and final friendly in preparation for the AFC U17 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers, which will be held in Malaysia from October 5 to 11.
