South Korea sweep India 3-0, end men's table tennis campaign at Asian Games

Aichi-Nagoya, Sep 22 (UNI) India's men's table tennis campaign at the Asian Games came to an end in the pre-quarterfinals after South Korea registered a commanding 3-0 victory over the Indian side here on Tuesday. Harmeet Desai fought hard against Jang Woo-jin but went down 1-3 in the opening singles, putting India on the back foot. Manush Shah then came agonisingly close to levelling the tie but was edged 2-3 by Oh Jun-sung in a closely fought five-game contest. With India needing a win to stay alive, Manav Thakkar took on Asian Games medallist An Jae-hyun in the third singles.…
