Panchkula, Sep 22 (UNI) Maruti Suzuki India Limited is driving a major push to redraw the gender map of India's automotive shop floors, targeting 30% women enrollment at its Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM) in Uncha Majra, Manesar, by academic year 2028-29, while rolling out a 100% tuition fee waiver for female students from this academic year, the company announced. The move marks a significant escalation in the automaker's efforts to channel trained women into manufacturing roles through the JIM network, a collaborative skill development initiative between the Governments of India and Japan.
