India strike compound archery double gold, secure LA 2028 quota

Aichi-Nagoya, Sept 30 (UNI) India produced a golden double in compound archery at the Asian Games here on Wednesday, retaining both the women's team and mixed team titles, with the latter victory also securing India's quota place for the LA 2028 Olympics, where compound mixed team archery will make its Olympic debut. Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Prithika Pradeep and Chikitha Taniparthi first defeated China 238-234 in the women's compound team final to retain India's Asian Games crown and equal the world record.
