Mild 3.5-magnitude earthquake jolts Vijayapura

Vijayapura, Sep 30 (UNI) A mild earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale struck parts of Vijayapura district in the early hours of Wednesday, sending tremors across areas within a 50 to 60-km radius of the epicentre, the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) said. The earthquake occurred at 0204 hours at a depth of 10 km, with the epicentre located at 16.604 degrees north latitude and 75.990 degrees east longitude.
