Kochi, Oct 10 (UNI) India's efforts to strengthen self-reliance in the spice sector and expand its global market share will focus on mapping spice-growing regions, identifying varieties with specific quality attributes and promoting high-value products to meet industrial and international market requirements. The proposed Bharat Spice Map aims to integrate geospatial technology, scientific research and market intelligence to improve domestic sourcing, reduce dependence on imported spices, strengthen the value chain and increase exports of value-added products.
