Pinarayi Vijayan to join Delhi protest, CPM postpones Central Committee meeting

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 10 (UNI) CPI(M) Politburo member and Kerala Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan will participate in a protest in New Delhi on Saturday, prompting the party to postpone its Central Committee meeting scheduled in the national capital. Vijayan's participation comes amid protests by opposition parties against the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The agitation is scheduled to be held at Jantar Mantar, where protesters will raise concerns over the revision exercise and demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
