Owaisi welcomes SC observation on refusal to sing Vande Mataram

Hyderabad, Sep 22 (UNI) AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday welcomed the Supreme Court's observation that a person should not face criminal consequences merely for refusing to sing Vande Mataram on grounds of conscience or religion. In a post on X, Owaisi said the freedom to disagree was an essential part of the liberty of thought, speech and expression.
