Maha: Parents of IIT-B student allege caste harassment, probe moved to Crime Branch

Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) The investigation into the death of a second-year B.Tech student at IIT Bombay has been transferred to the Mumbai Crime Branch after his parents alleged caste-based harassment and abetment to suicide. The deceased, identified as Sahil Ravindra Wakode, 20, a student of Energy Science and Engineering department from Yavatmal, was found dead in his hostel room on Friday evening, September 19.
