Jharkhand: CEO to recommend extension of SIR deadline

Ranchi, Sep 22 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar today decided to recommend extension of the deadline for claims and objections under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls following demands from political parties and social organisations. The present deadline for filing claims and objections is October 12, while the final date for publication of the revised electoral roll is Oct 19.
