Telangana: Ponnam seeks transparency in electoral roll revision

Hyderabad, Sep 24 (UNI) Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has questioned the Election Commission's handling of the Special Summary Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and sought greater transparency in the process. In a statement, Prabhakar said recent reports that Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had raised objections on several occasions over the past 10 months regarding voter registration, deletion of names, voter databases and electoral software had raised concerns that needed clarification.
