Jammu DIG reviews railway security arrangements, contingency preparedness

Jammu, Sep 24 (UNI) Deputy Inspector General Jammu-Kathua, Shridhar Patil, on Thursday reviewed railway security arrangements and contingency preparedness in district Samba of Jammu and Kashmir.

The officer stressed strict compliance with the Railway Security SOPs, enhanced patrolling, CCTV coverage of vulnerable locations, stressed mapping of banquet halls and other establishments near railway tracks, illumination of bridges and underpasses, and effective coordination with GRP and sister agencies.

He also directed the conduct of regular SMAC meetings and joint mock drills covering various emergency scenarios, along with timely sharing of inputs regarding suspicious activities and drone sightings.
