Agartala unrest follows police water cannon response to job

Agartala, Sep 24 (UNI) Agartala experienced civil unrest on Thursday when job aspirants who completed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) staged a demonstration demanding the immediate appointment of all 1,856 candidates who passed the TET-I and TET-II assessments during 2024. The protest intensified when police deployed a water cannon to break up the gathering and arrested numerous participants. Approximately one hundred demonstrators were detained and transported to the AD Nagar Police Lines facility.
