CPI(ML) demands judicial probe into custodial death of Dalit farmer in Shravasti

Lucknow, Sep 24 (UNI) The CPI(ML) on Thursday demanded a high-level judicial inquiry into the death of Dalit farmer Kamlesh in police custody in the Gilaula area of Shravasti and sought the filing of a murder case against the police personnel and other officials found responsible. The party alleged that the incident raises serious questions about the safety of Dalits and other vulnerable sections in police stations and in police custody, despite the state government's claims regarding law and order.
