FDA seizes adulterated food stock worth Rs 9.76 crore in Maharashtra festival drive

Mumbai, Sep 24 (UNI) The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has seized suspected adulterated food stock weighing 6.34 lakh kg and valued at around Rs 9.76 crore during a special statewide festival enforcement drive. The drive was conducted from September 1 to 23 through the FDA's Festival Enforcement Portal, according to a press note issued by FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe. During the drive, FDA officials inspected 3,068 food establishments across the state.
