Nagaland child rights panel flags inadequate infrastructure for child care

Dimapur, Sep 24 (UNI) The Nagaland State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NSCPCR) on Thursday flagged its key challenges, including inadequate infrastructure and facilities for children requiring care and protection, particularly children with mental health concerns, substance abuse issues and disabilities, in the state. The commission highlighted this at a review meeting of its functioning called by Governor Nand Kishore Yadav at Lok Bhavan in Kohima, stressing the need to strengthen it through additional members and regular staff, as well as the need for enhanced grant-in-aid to effectively implement its functions and activities.
