CPI seeks explanation from Kishan Reddy over defections

Hyderabad, Sep 20 (UNI) CPI National Secretary K Ramakrishna on Sunday welcomed the Telangana High Court verdict concerning BRS MLA Danam Nagender and said the judgment should be viewed as upholding the Constitution and the rule of law. Reacting to union Minister G Kishan Reddy's description of the verdict as a "victory for the Constitution and rule of law," Ramakrishna questioned whether the same principle would be applied to political defections across the country.
