GT Devegowda announces 2028 Chamundeshwari bid

Mysuru, Sep 18 (UNI) Rebel JD(S) MLA GT Devegowda on Friday announced that he would contest the 2028 Karnataka Assembly election from Chamundeshwari constituency, but left open the question of which party's ticket he would seek. Addressing a Ganeshotsava programme in the constituency, Devegowda said he would remain active in politics as long as he had the blessings of God and the people. The announcement comes amid an increasingly public rift between Devegowda and the JD(S) leadership over his political future.
