Union Minister Chouhan urges states to review outdated laws, procedures

Hyderabad, Sept 18 (UNI) union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday urged state governments to review outdated laws, rules and procedures and amend them wherever necessary to reduce the burden on citizens. He said " Rules are meant to serve people and should not become a burden". Addressing the Southern Regional Agriculture Conference here, Chouhan said If any issue requires intervention by the Centre, states should communicate their suggestions to the Government of India. Chouhan said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had emphasised that government should be visible in people's lives and not remain confined to files.…
