Chennithala rejects Pinarayi's Lokayukta meeting allegations as baseless

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 28 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has rejected Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan's criticism of the recent meeting with the Lokayukta, saying the allegations were misleading and contrary to facts. Chennithala said the September 23 meeting was held at the request of the Lokayukta to discuss urgent administrative issues and remove hurdles affecting its functioning, and not to interfere with or influence the statutory body's independent functioning.
