Veeramani POCSO case : Madras HC reserves order in DMK's Rs one cr defamatory plea against TN Ministers, TVK IT Wing

Chennai, Sep 30 (UNI) The Madras High Court on Wednesday reserved orders on the Rs one crore defamatory suit filed by the DMK against Tamil Nadu Ministers C.T.R.Nirmal Kumar and Aadhav Arjuna, and the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) IT Wing, for their remarks linking DMK to Veeramani POCSO case. When the plea filed by DMK Genera; Secretary and former Minister Duraimurugan came up before Ms.Justice Govindarajan Thilakavathi, Advocate General Vijay Narayan, appearing for the Ministers, argued that prior notice should have been issued before initiating proceedings against them and that the petition, filed without such notice, was not maintainable.…
