Telangana HC disqualifies Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) The Telangana High Court on Friday disqualified Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender under the anti-defection law, setting aside the Telangana Assembly Speaker's decision rejecting petitions seeking his disqualification. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G M Mohiuddin passed the orders on petitions filed by BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy and BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy. Nagender was elected from Khairatabad on a BRS ticket in the 2023 Assembly elections and subsequently contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Secunderabad on a Congress ticket.
