Telangana Ministers, MLAs urge Karnataka CM to release Krishna water

Hyderabad, Sep 23 (UNI) A delegation of Telangana Ministers Vakiti Srihari and Jupally Krishna Rao, along with MLAs Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, Megha Reddy and Madhusudan Reddy, met Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and urged him to release Krishna river water to protect standing crops in southern Telangana. The delegation sought the continuous release of 5,000 cusecs of Krishna water for one month to meet the irrigation needs of the Jurala, Bhima, Nettempadu and Koilsagar ayacut areas.
