UP takes Buddha trail, luxury travel and investment pitch to Tourism EXPO Japan 2026

Lucknow, Sep 23 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh is heading to Tokyo with a clear travel trade pitch: turn Japan's spiritual connection with Lord Buddha into greater inbound tourism, place the state's six Buddhist destinations in Japanese travel itineraries and attract new hospitality investment. At Tourism EXPO Japan 2026, UP Tourism will present the journey from Lord Buddha's first sermon at Sarnath to his Mahaparinirvana at Kushinagar as the centrepiece of its pavilion.
