Telangana Govt to appoint special officers for elderly welfare in every district: Adluri

Hyderabad, Oct 1 (UNI) Telangana Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar said the State government is giving priority to the dignity, safety, health and financial security of senior citizens and directed officials to take steps to appoint a special officer in every district to address their grievances. Speaking at a State-level programme held at Ravindra Bharati on Thursday to mark the International Day of Older Persons, the Minister said district-level monitoring should be strengthened to ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes and protection of the rights of the elderly.
