DMK, AIADMK planned common candidate, but chose to contest the bypoll to split votes : TN Min Nirmal Kumar

Chennai, Sep 24 (UNI) Senior leader og the ruling TVK and Tamil Nadu Electricity and Law Minister CTR.Nirmal Kumar on Thursday alleged that the main Opposition DMK and AIADMK had initially planned to field a common candidate in the October six Assembly bypoll to Madurantakam and Dharapuram seats, but later decided to contest separately to split the votes.
