IRDAI moves to stop insurers from seeking personal details before showing policy features

New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) Insurance customers may soon be able to compare policies, check premiums and review key product details online without first handing over their phone numbers, email addresses or other personal information. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has proposed changes aimed at curbing what it describes as "dark patterns" on insurance websites and distributor platforms.
