Telangana: Seethakka directs officials to ensure rural jobs, prioritise water conservation

Hyderabad, Sep 30 (UNI) Telangana Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka directed officials and Sarpanches to ensure continuous employment for rural residents and give top priority to water conservation works in view of the anticipated impact of El Niño. Addressing a statewide video conference with more than 12,000 Sarpanches and officials on the implementation of the VB-GRAM G scheme on Wednesday, Seethakka said the programme should go beyond employment generation and help protect the rural economy, agriculture and groundwater resources.
