Allahabad HC dismisses petition seeking FIR against Rahul Gandhi over remarks on Sikhs

Prayagraj, Nov 5 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court on Thursday dismissed a petition seeking registration of an FIR against Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over his alleged controversial remarks on Sikhs. A single-judge bench of Justice Vikram D Chauhan pronounced the verdict. The court had reserved its order on October 16 after hearing arguments in the matter. The petition was filed by Nageshwar Mishra and others under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and sought directions for registration of an FIR against Gandhi over his remarks on the Sikh community.…
