Raj civic polls: Ruling BJP wins mayoral/chairpersons posts in 198 of 302 civic bodies; Congress distant second with 94 wins

Jaipur, Sep 21 (UNI) The ruling BJP nominees have won the post of mayor/chairperson in 198 of the 302 civic bodies, including seven municipal corporations, the results of which have so far been announced by the Rajasthan state election commission here. The opposition Congress suffered a setback in the mayoral and chairpersons' election today and could manage a distant second position winning 94 municipalities, including the lone success in the Bikaner Municipal Corporation.
