Six more children die in Bangladesh in 24hrs from measles bringing death toll to 1063 in last six months

Dhaka, Sep 21 (UNI) Six children died from measles symptoms in Bangladesh in the 24 hours till Monday, taking the total death toll from the country's measles outbreak to 1,063 over more than six months. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said 1,221 new patients with measles symptoms or suspected measles were hospitalised during the 24-hour period, along with 84 patients with confirmed measles. Since March 15, 184,035 people have been recorded with measles symptoms, while another 20,646 have been diagnosed with measles, according to the DGHS.
