Heavy Vehicles Restricted on Bir Chowk-Landing Site Road in Kangra

Dharamshala, Sept 21 (UNI) Kangra District Magistrate Hemraj Bairwa has restricted the movement of Volvo and multi-axle buses on the narrow Bir Chowk-to-landing site road from 0700 hrs to 1100 hrs to ease traffic congestion and ensure road safety. The decision follows a report from the Superintendent of Police, Kangra, highlighting traffic jams on the stretch that were affecting the safety of local residents, pedestrians, schoolchildren and other road users, besides hampering the movement of emergency vehicles.
