Haryana: Panchkula Police arrest man in alleged Rs Rs1.07-crore property fraud, court grants 2-day remand

Panchkula, Sep 18 (UNI) Panchkula Police have arrested a man for allegedly cheating a prospective homebuyer of RsRs1.07 crore by concealing an earlier agreement to sell the same Sector 26 property and a related court dispute, a police spokesperson said today. The accused, Kapil Chawla, was arrested by the Economic Offences Wing-1 on September 17 and produced before a court today, which remanded him to police custody for two days. According to police, the complainant had entered into an agreement with Ram Prakash Chawla on December 18, 2025, to purchase a house in Sector 26 for Rs5.25 crore. The complainant…
