Woman held for allegedly demanding Rs 70 lakh to withdraw rape case in Haryana's Hisar

Panchkula, Sep 27 (UNI) Haryana Police have arrested a woman for allegedly demanding Rs 70 lakh from a man to get a rape case registered against him cancelled, a police spokesman said on Sunday. The accused, identified as Suman, a resident of Rampura Mohalla in Hisar, was produced before a court, which remanded her to 14 days' judicial custody at the Hisar district jail, police said. According to police, the woman had earlier lodged a rape case against the complainant at Civil Lines police station in Hisar.
