Haryana: Gurugram Police cracks down on public drinking & substance abuse

Panchkula, Oct 1 (UNI) A spokesman of the Haryana Police said here today that Gurugram Police has taken 105 persons into custody for allegedly consuming alcohol at public places and initiated preventive action against them under the law. The spokesman said the special checking drive was conducted across the West Police Zone on September 29, under the directions of Y.V.R. Shashi Shekhar, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, West, Gurugram, to tighten crime control and security arrangements.
