Bengal: Tension at Bhangar College over Sayantan Basu's presence

Kolkata, Sep 21 (UNI) Tension gripped Bhangar College on Monday after BJP leader and newly appointed president of the college's governing body, Sayantan Basu, arrived on the campus, triggering protests by students backed by the SFI and ISF. The protesters blocked the college gate and raised slogans against Basu. Members of the ABVP responded with counter-slogans, leading to a prolonged exchange of slogans between the two groups and creating tension on the campus.
