Mizoram seeks greater Centre support for Northeast education challenges

Aizawl, Sep 18 (UNI) Mizoram Education Minister Vanlalthlana has urged the Centre to address the common challenges faced by northeastern states in improving education, saying their needs should not be overlooked in policy planning in comparison with larger states. Speaking at the North East Education Conclave 2026 held at Chümoukedima in Nagaland, Vanlalthlana highlighted Mizoram's progress in education as well as the challenges it faces in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
