Bengal: NIA raids Rampurhat stone trader's house in explosives smuggling probe

Rampurhat, Sep 23 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been conducting a marathon raid at the residence of Samir Sheikh, a prominent stone trader in Rampurhat, Birbhum district of West Bengal, in connection with an ongoing explosives smuggling investigation since Tuesday night. The action came a day after the Calcutta High Court rejected the protection plea of Tulu Mondal. Meanwhile, Kanan Ghosh and Hiru Ghosh were arrested in connection with the February 14 explosives haul case by the NIA, along with local police, from the Bahadurpur area last night.
