Young IAS officer in Tripura transferred for misbehaviour with lawyer

Agartala, Jan 15 (UNI) The Tripura government on Thursday transferred incumbent Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sabroom in South Tripura, Abhijit Singh Yadav, following a controversy stemming from an alleged misbehaviour with a lawyer last week, which incited protests from the legal community across the state. After lawyers in Sabroom stopped attending the SDM court to seek the removal of Yadav, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha had a discussion with members of the Tripura Bar Association (TBA) recently and accepted the demand, while assuring a proper enquiry into the incident.
